New arrivals posted for the police department's online platform
In a significant move to strengthen law enforcement, 89 new commissioners are set to join the police forces of Wuppertal, Remscheid, and Solingen. This decision was announced by the mayors of these cities, with Uwe Schneidewind, the Mayor of Wuppertal, leading the charge.
Mayor Schneidewind recently participated in a ceremony at the Presidency, where he spoke on behalf of the mayors of the Bergisches Städtedreieck. The decision to bolster the police force is part of a broader strategy to ensure the safety and security of the residents in these cities.
Of the 89 new commissioners, 34 are transferring from other district police headquarters, bringing valuable experience to their new posts. The remaining 55 commissioners are fresh recruits, ready to embark on their policing careers.
The reinforcements will be distributed across the three cities. Wuppertal will see 34 commissioners joining its police station, with an additional 15 set to strengthen the Remscheid police force. Solingen will welcome 4 new commissioners, ensuring a more robust presence in the city.
The new commissioners will be divided into two key directorates: Crime and Traffic. The Directory of Crime will see the addition of 19 new commissioners, while the Directory of Traffic will welcome 3 new commissioners. However, the names of the new heads of these directorates have not been disclosed at this time.
This strategic deployment of resources aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of the police force in maintaining law and order, ensuring a safer environment for the residents of Wuppertal, Remscheid, and Solingen. The new commissioners are expected to start their duties in the coming weeks.
This news marks a positive step towards improving the safety and security of the Bergisches Städtedreieck, and the community eagerly awaits the arrival of the new commissioners to bolster their local police forces.
